Gurdev Mangat needs no introduction to various cultures of the world. He considers himself a true internationalist and speaks three languages.
Born in Kenya, Gurdev went on to study engineering in the UK. After graduating he lived and worked in nine countries across the globe, thus acquiring a wide range of experience in engineering as well as architecture and interior design, and working alongside some of the leading firms in the world.
After forty-five years of enjoying the profession, and not one to call it quits, Gurdev decided to pursue his passion for art which had lain dormant in him for years. In 2010 he began lessons at the Art Academy of Cincinnati under the tutelage of well-known local artist, Ken Landon Buck. Thus far Gurdev has concentrated on watercolor, a medium requiring patience and passion.
His love of nature and wilderness is expressed in many of his paintings. Along with being an active environmentalist, he enjoys being the grandfather of three beautiful kids.
