Sherry has been a member of the Art Circle for 12 years. She began taking classes at the Wyoming Fine Arts Center with Pat Painer in 2000. She has taken watercolor classes through the Art Academy of Cincinnati with instructor Ken Buck. She has spent summers studying art and rug hooking at the Chautauqua Institute in New York.
She started painting in the fifth grade. She continued to pursue art in high school and college. After college Sherry was a Special Education teacher for fifteen years. The art that was created was while she was an educator was mostly bulletin boards.
She has exhibited her paintings in such venues as the Carnegie Tusculum Center, Harvest Home Festival, the Wyoming Art Show, the Middletown Art Show, Viewpoint, Xavier University, and at the Essex Art Walks.
Sherry and her husband, Brett, live in Delhi and have two adult sons, Ross and Hunter, a daughter-in-law Renee and a grandson, Reece Henry.
She received her Bachelor of Education from Ohio University (where she minored in art) and is a Reading Specialist with a Master’s Degree from Xavier University.
Currently she is involved with the Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati In her spare time enjoys tennis, rug hooking, yoga, baby sitting, traveling, and gardening.
